Terry Fox Run 2008, KL… My 1st run after 7 years!

..took midnight bus all the way to KL, and that was an uncomfortable and tiring sleep in the bus... I arrived early Sunday morning but still 3 more hours away from the assembly time. 7am at the lake Garden KL, people were already there for warming up… and more participants were coming, and I think more than thousand people at starting point of the run! So, who is Terry Fox? It started in 1980, a young Canadian, only 16, with an artificial leg (due to bone cancer), ran across Canada (he had run 5,375km), for his dream to raise funding for cancer research and to promote cancer awareness. Since then, every year Terry Fox run is organized in many countries to spread his spirit and dream.. Did you ever run?

The above video clip is a Tribute to Terry fox by Rod Stewart, named ‘Never give-up a dream’. I’m very much appreciating a meaningful saying by Terry Fox...

"People thought I was going through hell,

Maybe I was partly, but still I was doing what I wanted,

and a dream was coming true".

Well, it was an uneasy run for most of us, and I was reminding myself to run some more while my body was becoming lazy, in order to run though the 5km! (I would think twice if I would join 10km run next time). By the way, it is even much tougher to realizing one’s dream in life.. however, never give-up!
